Le Rendez-Vous des Pianistes

Book Now    Location    Services

The first thing that struck me when entering that singular apartment was its beautiful acajou-colored parquet that gives unity to the whole space. The second was its untypical distribution of rooms. The flat has double exposure, East-West, and has the form of a ship. You wake up aft with the morning sun in a comfortable master-bedroom with 5 meters of linear shelf space hidden behind well-designed sliding doors. You progress further West to a bathroom with a bathtub and a shower decorated with a Roman mosaic which then leads you to the second bedroom which features a bunkbed for two. From there you enter the luxury-brand kitchen (Küppersbusch) which allows for most sophisticated cooking. Adjacent from it, further westward,at the bow, you have a living-room with a beautiful white Sauter piano, well-known by any pianist for its quality sound. The coffee-table is a work of art by a craftsman from Nizza. It is made of ceramic mosaic and fears no hot pots or ironing on its surface. High-speed internet access, satellite TV with international channels and phone will keep you in touch with the world.

Rue Ravignan on Montmartre is a very special place. People still communicate with each other across the street from their windows. Cats are enjoying the sun sleeping on the hoods of cars. You can buy your groceries at the famous ‘Collignon’ shop of Amélie Poulain. It is just around the corner, is open every day except on Monday until midnight and Ali and his staff will give you the friendliest service.

You are steps away from the ‘Place Emile Goudeau’ where the famous painters’ ateliers of the ‘Bâteau Lavoir’ are located. Here is where Picasso painted the ‘Demoiselles d’Avignon’, which started the cubist movement. Modern art was born here.

Today the building where ‘Le Rendez-Vous des Pianistes’ is located on the 2nd floor, houses a ‘danseur étoile’ from the Paris Opera, an opera singer, a few pianists… in the oh so very Montmartre spirit of contemporary creation.
